After being told most of my life to become a massage therapist, I took a leap of faith and started class at the Louisville School of Massage in July of 2003. 18 months later I graduated at the top of my class, moved my private practice to Stillpoint Wellness Center and joined the staff of the school. I knew when I was in school and began to offer massage from my home in the Irish Hill neighborhood, that I had finally found something I was completely passionate about. In the fall of 2005 I was named Program Director at LSM, a position that I held until October 31 of 2009. Since then I have focused my energy on building a very successful and rewarding private pratice.
Massage therapy continues to bring about profound changes not only in the people I am fortunate to work with, by myself as well.
I’ve started this blog to add to the public discussion in regards to the benefits of massage and how the public can get the most out of it. My hope is that it becomes a positive public forum for sharing thoughts and ideas.
